A note from team Pluto

As a brand established to support the travel lovers of the world, the current situation we're in is proving understandably challenging. First and foremost, our thoughts and best wishes go out to the health and wellbeing of all. But we also wanted to take a moment to share a few updates with our loyal customers, community members, investors and partners.

With travel insurance a core part of our offering, we've been working around the clock to help support customers who are having to cancel holiday plans or return home early from trips abroad. In such unpredictable times, there's a limit to what we can do. But we're trying our hardest to help everyone get what they deserve and relieve any worries and anxieties that we can. Whether you're a Pluto customer or not, we're always happy to do what we can to help. Just send us a message here or through our app.

Beyond travel insurance, we have an amazing team who are working from home, responding to the ever evolving situation and continuing to work on tools that we still plan to launch in the coming months. We're fortunate that after a successful Crowdfunding round in the summer, we're in a healthy position as a business, able to weather this storm and come out the other side even stronger.

Although we're all unable to travel abroad right now, that doesn't mean we should stop thinking about travelling altogether. After all, travelling is a state-of-mind as much as it's a physical experience. Sometimes the excitement of planning and looking forward to a trip can be as enjoyable as the trip itself. We're still working hard on building our travel planning tool  - Pluto Pinboard - and will be sharing updates along the way and asking for your advice in how we make it special.

On the other hand, one of the things that makes travel special is the chance to switch off and explore new cultures. And as many of us will have more time on our hands than normal, we have an opportunity to do just that. With that in mind, we'll be sharing ideas to help you bring travel home in these trying days. Whether that's sharing the books, films, and music to help immerse yourself in a new culture. Or connecting you with small business owners who are trying creative new ways to ensure they can still safely deliver their snapshot of culture into your home - whether that's food and wine or coffee and cake.

As ever, we're grateful for your ongoing support and we wish you all the best over the coming months.

Your fellow travel lovers, Team Pluto
