The Pluto October update
It's been an action-packed month for team Pluto. We've hit one of our biggest milestones since we started, with the launch of Pluto Pinboard. And we've been busy tracking and responding to the ever-changing travel environment. Read on to find out more.
We launched Pluto Pinboard
Since starting Pluto in 2018, we've always had the ambition to create useful tools that helped people make the most of their travels. We started with our hassle-free travel insurance. And this month, we're delighted to have launched our travel planning tool, Pluto Pinboard.
After hundreds of conversations with fellow travel lovers, we discovered loads of annoying things about organising a holiday. Information spread across loads of apps and services. The hassle of planning trips with friends. Difficulty finding the best places to visit. And that's just to name a few.
So we designed Pluto Pinboard to solve these problems, along with many more. Now available within the Pluto iOS app – give it a try for free. We hope you love it! P.s. Sorry, Android friends. We're still working on your version.
UK travel inspiration
With the ever-changing guidance about the countries we can and can't travel to, travelling within the UK is starting to feel like an increasingly attractive option.
Fortunately, this isn't too much of a hardship. As a team, we've been guilty in the past of hopping on a plane for a quick getaway, almost out of habit. But one positive of the coronavirus pandemic is the prompt to (re)discover the beauty of the country we live in.
So we've been collecting recommendations of places to visit across the UK. Check out the featured Pinboards we've created for the Lake District and West Cornwall to get a headstart on planning your next escape.
You'll also find curated Pinboards for many more UK destinations – from Birmingham and York to North Norfolk and Edinburgh – by clicking below.
Community travel stories
Over the past month, we've enjoyed chatting with members of our community about the recent trips they've taken.
Giulio embarked on a cycling trip around Friuli Venezia Giulia. Discovering the beautiful landscape and sampling some of the region’s finest wines.
Whilst Dan took a trip down to the Cornish coast, craving a change of scenery and some beach time after having his international travel plans scuppered by COVID.
Drop us a note if you fancy chatting about a recent trip of yours. And follow us on Instagram for more community travel stories.
