The Pluto November update

It's been another great month at Pluto HQ. We're announcing the launch of our beta mobile app, we've been crowned the top UK travel insurer on Trustpilot, and we're joining one of the most renowned startup accelerator programmes in the UK.

A great Trustpilot profile is an invaluable asset for an early-stage company when it comes to building trust with their customers. So we couldn't be happier that thanks to the amazing customer reviews we've been receiving, we're now the number 1 rated travel insurance provider on Trustpilot. We hope this continues to give new and existing customers the confidence that we care deeply about what we offer and the quality of the service we provide. Our mobile app beta is live

This is probably the single biggest improvement to our offering since we launched. Over the past year, we've made hundreds of changes. Some small, some pretty big. But this one dwarfs them all. Our app will make it even easier to do everything on your phone - check your cover, make a claim and get instant human help. We've emailed all our beta customers to try out the new app, but do get in touch if you have an active policy, iOS device and also want to try it out. It will be available to all new customers in the next few weeks.

We're joining a Factory

But not the smokey industrial kind, a startup Factory. We're super proud and pleased to announce that Pluto has been accepted into Founders Factory, considered as the startup accelerator. With industry-leading organisations as corporate partners, including EasyJet and over 80 industry experts as part of their in-house team. The programme will help us to accelerate the growth of the business.

Lay back and relax

It's the end of the month, you've booked a big holiday or maybe you're just being you. We all know that the bank account can run a little low sometimes. That's why we launched our partnership with the payment provider, LayBuy. In a nutshell, you can spread the cost of your Pluto policy into 6 weekly interest-free payments. We would hate for people to not get covered because they didn't have the funds available at the time. This isn't for everyone, but hopefully, it helps more people get covered.

We're a finalist again!

This time for the Insurance Post Creative and Innovation Awards, in two categories: Best Insurtech Idea of the Year and The Customer Experience Award. This is particularly important because it's exactly what we want to be known for: doing things differently in travel insurance and building a customer experience you can fall in love with and take home to meet your parents.
